Burford Church is an historical church, nestled in the heart of the Cotswold countryside - a truly magnificent piece of English heritage. As a Church of England, bible-teaching Church, it has a rapidly growing congregation and looks to continue this growth. Burford Church wanted to embrace the internet's popularity, using it as a tool both to inform newcomers of what the church has to offer aswell as keeping existing congregation members up to date.
Our solution was to provide Burford Church with a site that has clear roots for both kinds of prospective visitors to the church site - an 'Our Heritage' section aimed at visitors to the historical monument and an 'Our Life' section aimed at prospective and current congregation members. This enables visitors to navigate the site straightforwardly which, through our efforts to raise its search engine position, is now even easier to find. We have styled our modules to fit Burford Church's identity; our 3a-Site Content section allows the church to easily update features, such as images, in the top right hand corner of each page. One especially pleasing feature is the flash tour of the church, which aims to entice site visitors to come and see the beautiful church in person.
The Burford Church website includes a specially designed front page, independent of the templates used throughout the rest of the site. Two clear alternative routes through the site have been created, to serve both visitors to the historic monument and prospective members of the congregation.
Using the 3a-SideContent module, the images along the top right of the page can be quickly and easily changed for each new page. With 3a-WebBuilder installed this could be done remotely through a simple web page.
With 150,000 visitors each year, the historic Burford Church building is a great asset to the vibrant Christian community in its parish. The 3a-FlashTour module offers an interactive element aimed at increasing the conversion rate of surfing visit-planners into building visitor footfall.
The Burford Church design features eye-catching elements such as rounded edges, overlapping images, two reactive navigation options and templated sectional design, while the modular layout allows for rapid remote updating via 3a-Web-Builder.
