As we previously reported, Microsoft announced that the new version of Windows, "Windows 10", will be released this summer. They have now confirmed that this new OS will release on July 29th. As many of you will already be aware, Windows 10 is going to be made available as a free upgrade for (most) users of Windows 7 and 8 for the first year.
Additionally, Microsoft have also announced that Windows 10 will be the last "numbered" version of its operating system. From now on, Microsoft will be supplying ongoing updates much more regularly in a move that will be familiar to users of Apple's OS X.
